On-tap at Stone
A: A deep dark brown color with reddish hints without much in terms of head. A bit of tan foam around the edge of the glass.
S: Sickly sweet brown sugar, caramel, molasses, and licorice make up the bulk of the aroma. Some decent enough roast and coffee, but not much to counteract the sugar.
T: Wow is this sweet. Sugary and sticky with some definite alcohol presence and maybe a bit of an overripe dark fruit flavor. It begins as cloying and as the beer warms up, there's a burnt sugar flavor that becomes very bitter.
M: The body is medium, sticky, and syrupy, but not really in a good way. Carbonation is minimal.
D: Blech, this was bad. Weird flavors and not much better in terms of the aroma.
