Copper liquid, 1/2" white head, plenty of bright clarity to it. Green hop, wet hay aromas.
Taste was nice and hoppy, low malt profile, not massive hopped, an easier drinker. Price is up there, but this is easily the best hoppy beer made on the island that i've had.

Pours a clear copper-orange color. Thin off-white head with decent retention. Aroma is floral and citrus hops. Flavor is strong with lemon, grapefruit and grassy notes. Medium bodied and a fairly clean finish. The Falconers Flight hop is a little one-dimensional IMO, but it does make for a very light-tasting flavorful beer.

A: Medium amber in color. A bit hazy. Forms a large, stable foamy head that slowly reduces down to a thick surface coating. Some nice lacing.
S: Aroma is full of citrus hops. Mildly sweet malts, orange, orange blossom, and a bit of tropical fruit.
T: The first thing I notice about this beer is that it is exceedingly sweet and the citrus, orange, and tropical fruit hops only seem to accent the sweetness. Fruit juice. Mild caramel malts. Finishes with a mild bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation and a bit of sticky sweetness to it. Mild bitterness.
O: This one was overly sweet for my tastes and the hop profile only seemed to increase that sweetness. Even the finish seemed stickily sweet. And with little bitterness to offset all of that sweetness, I found this beer lacking balance.

12oz can without canning date. Reckon that this one-off brew from Maui Brew Co is from May/June 2011. For reasons related to sloth, I waited till a year later to sample it.
A: Cloudy, deep amber with ample carbonation resulting in an off-white head upon pouring into a pint glass.
S: Falconer's Flight hops have that wonderful piney, resiny and petroleum like aroma that I love. They have obviously been tempered over the course of a year, but you gotta love cans and their preservative capability.
T: A classic IPA with a twist: nice and bitter with a peppery twist. The malt backbone is solid and this comes across as a distantly related cousin of DFH's classic 90 Minute.
M: Dry and clean finish, excellent mouthfeel as expected by the carbonation.
O: A great and unique IPA. I would love to try this fresh, either on tap or from a can if they re-release this beauty.

Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours an amber color with a large white head. The aroma is very dank, with some strong resinous notes, as well as some pineapple and bread notes. The beer is also full of hop flavor. I get a lot of resin, pine and pineapple notes, with a little bit of toffee, which allows the bitterness to be fairly high. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A new IPA from Maui Brewing? Sweet.
A - Poured from can to pint glass. The beer pours a deep orange almost lighter amber color with a nice 1.5 finger white head with good retention and lacing.
S - Excellent hop aroma with lots of fresh fruit. Tropical and Citrus character with a hint of caramel sweetness. No hint of alcohol.
T - Again lots of hop character. Medium bitterness together with the tropical and citrus fruit tones as well as a hint of earthy pine. The malt sweetness provides a nice backbone.
M - Well balanced and medium bodied with good carbonation. Finishes crisp with a lingering bitterness.
O - I enjoyed the beer, more so than the other IPAs I've had from Maui. I would definitely buy this brew again.
