session ipa with some new zealand hops in the mix, easy drinking, very dry and low alcohol and light in body, crisp almost like a lager, refreshing and without a ton of bitterness, so this is a real goer. super light blonde in color, close to clear, and with an average white head on it, tidy and approachable looking. it smells like sliced lemon, almost ripe green melon, and cold green grapes right out of the fridge, with that tight snappy juiciness and verdant quench. there is some grassiness as it warms to me, but it stays clean, neither dank nor bitter really at any point, its lighter than that, and the grain and the yeast are both near neutral, this is hop forward but simple and clean. the flavor is springy and fruity too with a hint of coconut to it, bright citrus, and a very quick finish. not oily or resinous in texture but still very hoppy, more melon and green gooseberry as it warms, and just a little bit of up front grain sweetness thats quickly resolved. this is modern and distinctive, a great mix of hops, id love to know what varietals are in play here, but this is very drinkable and should appeal to fans of most ipa types, pales, even hop forward lagers due to its fast finish and light body. maui is brewing some great beers, it was awesome to drink through a number of them when we were on the big island recently! great hop profile on this, nice proportions, built for hot weather. nicely done.
