This was called their session beer which is fairly accurate since it was very easy to drink. Unfortunately, it just didn't leave you craving another. To be fair, if I were sitting outside on a hot sunny day, this would be a perfect beer. It was nicely balanced without being heavy bodied or too hoppy. Just couldn't help feel like something was missing. They call this their transition beer, I guess this would be a good start if you were weening yourself off of one of the macrobrews out there. Would have liked to have just a little more aroma to wake the tastebuds up, otherwise it's just a basic beginner's beer.

Delivers just as it intends a medium-bodied, all-occasion, deep goldenrod ale of casual dimensions and easy session-sense. Balanced, clean and drinkable with an eclipsed head that vacates early, prudent bittering, and a taste suggesting lemon-pepper. Golden has a coy, fruity nose, no suds, and low carbonation.
This is a no-frills, everyday table beer you might want to actually drink every day, with the kind of shrugged-shoulders finish that invites another round.
