The menu claims an intense subtle flavor. Im not sure what that means, but if an ordinary ale yeast was used instead of a Belgian, this might be a very nice dry Irish. (Its not very English as the menu again claims). It features a feathery, nitrogenous mouthfeel, smooth dry-roast flavor, and broad lace. Its an enjoyable beer all around.
But the Belgian yeast conducting this otherwise English/Irish recipe isnt entirely suited to the task. It causes no irreparable harm, but I think Id still prefer the traditional standard.
