Served on-tap
A – Pours a deep dark ruby color, no head whatsoever, bubbles are small and slowly rising. No lacing or retention left behind.
S – Smells of ripened plums, figs, light grain and malt, bitter malt vinegar notes as well.
T – Starts sweet with notes of plums and dark raisins and fruit, then leads to a very strong and bitter sourness, big malt vinegar tones and some spoiled fruit notes. Okay but tends towards the bitter and overly soured side of the spectrum, could use more balance.
M – Thin to medium bodied, has a lingering bitter aftertaste.
O – A decent approach, but a little more balance would have been nice. I will still try anything that North Fork produces, great body of work overall.
