Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a moderately hazy, medium reddish orange with a fine, two finger off-white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel and pale malt, citrus and dank hops, lime and grapefruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus hops, lemon, grapefruit, light mixed tropical fruit, berries and tea. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. Nice to see a triple IPA again, it's been a while. This tastes genuinely like a massive IPA rather than an American barleywine, which used to be synonymous, but usually had a deeper malt body. This tastes like a citrus forward IPA on steroids. There are some mixed fruit notes, but mostly citrus and not much pine, which I'd expect from the hop bill. Quite sippable for the ABV, but somewhat muddled and one-note hops. A pleasant high octane IPA for a good cause.
