Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy, light orange-gold color with 1/2 inch of white head that very good retention and great lacing.
The aroma had some earthy hop features in the front, with a slight bit of citrus, and a smoothly grainy malt background. On the tongue, the beer starts out smoothly and then has a nice crisp bite at the back. The combination of malt and hops worked very well together, but without being exactly "balanced".
The body was nicely well-rounded without being heavy or sticky. There was a crisp, dry finish. Drinkability was very good, I could easily have a handful of these. Overall, a pretty nice new brew from the gang out at North Fork, I hope to see it back with some regularity. Worth trying if you see it.
