Christmas 2009 edition.

Deep mahagony color. Big two-finger finely bubbled head. Faint retention but nice thick lacing.

Nose is a little disappointing. Weak malt and a faint spice presence. Candy sugar appears as the glass warms.

Sweet and quickly warming hit on the tongue. Caramel malt, faint cherries, a sense of dry, and then a nice sweet finish. Very fine example of the style. I've always liked this beer from the Radish and this years is no loser.

Feel is a little slick and syrupy, but very right for the style. Maybe a little thin if anything for a winter bock.

Very easy sipper. Hides the alcohol astonishingly well.
