Say Goes-Uh. This light, salty and tart German-style wheat ale turns the music up - not to 10, but just a little bit louder, Gose to 11!

this is the first lackluster beer i have had from oakshire, who i have a lot of love for. this is pretty darn flat from the tap, both in look and feel. nice clarity for the style, golden color, but unappetizing in a pint with no head or visible bubbles, as still as apple juice. aroma is a little sweaty and sharp, but its not as weird or messy in the taste, lacto forward and a little strange rather than clean, but its not gross or anything, just a little amatuer tasting for such a dialed in operation. the wheat has some body but is mild and dry in the taste, notes of green apple and white wine in the taste, quite fruity, with some herbaceous toasty coriander type spice in behind, but very little appreciable salt on this. id like it a lot more if it were drier and more carbonated, its so flat that i seems dead, and thats just wrong for this style. maybe its better in the can, i have seen those around too, but from the tap (at star bar downtown), it just was lifeless. hard to hold anything against these guys with the track record they have, ill try it from the can and reassess...

12oz single cam bought from Lifesource natural Grocers in Salem OR about $2 Pours a pale cloudy yellow with a small white head..that dissipates fast leaves lace. Faint sea salt and barnyard type aromas. Nice sweet vinegar and fruit taste with a drying seas salt finish. Mouth feel is OK for style and nicely drying..making for an easy drinker. A nice gose.
