Deep, opaque brown body; thick, creamy, tan head. Aromas of cocoa, coffee grounds and vanilla. The taste encompasses the same qualities as the aroma with additional hints of bitterness and woody ash. Heavy, smooth, and lush body; silky with a lightly sweet base and finishing with a subtle alcohol dryness.
A robust beer bringing out excellent dark malt qualities with taste and feel. The aroma is a bit subdued yet still lets you know what to expect taste-wise. Nicely balanced between dark sweetness and boozy dryness.
