a like pretty much all the oakshire beers, but i wish more of these wild ones came around, really some of the best out there, this is killer, and exactly what i have been wanting lately, wine grape beer, its incredibly good. pink and rose colored, frosted looking, short white head on it from the tap. strong nose of the wine grapes, obviously pinot noir to me too which is cool, skinny and tart and tannic with plum and raspberry jam notes and then some killer bretty funk to it, woody and mature and mouthwatering. the flavor isnt over the top on the fruit, but its still what i get the most of. its long too, like skins and sharpness first, then some sweet juiciness, then more wine-like in the finish when the wood kicks up. not overly sour either, more funky than acidic, and really pretty wild and different tasting on the fermentation side. my mouth waters for more as i write this, juicy wine grapes and cool other fruit tones like cranberry, blackberry, and dried cherry, lots going on here. high carbonation is nice, i love all the mellowing wood, i could drink several of these for sure. an early highlight of gabf time in colorado, oakshire just about always impresses me!
