Can from Jerry’s 27th St Market. Hazy amber pour with small silky beige head. Aroma is mildly sweet and nutty. Taste more of the same with some hops bitterness at the finish. Light bodied.

Picked this up in Oregon a few months ago while on the road, as I saw this available via a single can. I love my beers of this style and it was hard to figure why this was rated so low on here, as it was an enjoyable and accessible example of the style that was both true to form and easy to drink while not taking any shortcuts.
No surprise that this beer was a ruddy head in hue, with plenty of tan head topping it off as there were enough big bubbles that rose to the surface. Very little lacing remained this was a few spots were scattered and a way hint of a ring remained near the bottom of my pint glass. Lots of Crystal Malt and bread in the nose as the taste had a bit of apple and fall fruit in it and soft hop bitterness that gave this all of the depth it needed. Sure, this was easygoing and and easy to enjoy but this never felt watered-down as it was a worthy first go from Oakshire.
I never detected the alcohol in this as the hint of dank hops and subtle pine in the back stood out more than any booze did. Some biscuit remained in the aftertaste, which gave me just enough to proverbially chew on. Sure, the date on the side of the can read 9/24 of last year but this held up well and was fun to kick back with on a mild summer's afternoon. Not a winner here but this was a fun take on the style that wold give a good first impression to anyone new to it. It was a bonus that the label was fitting for the liquid inside of the can!

Ordered this as a draft at the WILD DUCK CAFE in Eugene OR.
Poured a very clear amber, with no head. Did show some decent side glass lace.
AROMA: Picked up some light bread malts as well as some weak coffee malts.
Taste: Pretty much the same, coffee and sweet malts a bit more noticeable.
Medium to thin texture with low cabonation.
