Treated as a Berliner Weisse, I chose my stange.
The appearance was a dark pink color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head that ended up fizzing to dissipate. I didn't mind but I did notice there wasn't any lace.
The aroma had the tart to sweet cranberry up front touching down on some lemon sour tones with a settling little bit of grassiness. Sour-ed wheat seemed barely there, quite a stretch for me to really pull that out if anything.
The flavor was mostly tart with a "trying" sort of sweet embrace between the cranberry flesh and some of the lemon. Grassiness seemed barely there. Sour-ed wheat seemed barely there. Touch of cranberry tartness with a faint wisp of lemon in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fine sessionable to sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Semi-sticky sort of finish with cranberry tartness.
Overall, while the sour-ed wheat portion seemed barely there, I can see why some would think this is just a regular American wild ale, however, I must admit, at least to me, it was well brewed and worthy of coming back to again, even if it wasn't a true Berliner Weisse.

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy pink orange with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.
The aroma is subdued - sweet fruit and malt with some lactic sourness.
The flavor is sweet and mouth puckering tart cranberry with very strong tart sourness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied and pretty watery.
Overall, a bit one dimensional - very tart and sour fruit.
