Of all things, on tap today at the Imperial taproom in pdx.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with exceptional head retention and good lacing. Initially, I picked up a lot of coffee on the nose, but as the beer warmed, the coffee seemed to blend in better with the vanilla, cinnamon, light chili and milk chocolate. There's some noticeable bourbon as well, which is nice. The flavor profile seems to replicate the nose in this moderately sweet beer. There's a kiss of heat from the chili as well on the finish which is nice to see. Mouthfeel is very soft, albeit somewhat thin (which is surprising for the abv). The finish is long with some attractive heat from the chili. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile. You can tell the abv is up there, but I wouldn't have guessed 14%.
Nice beer from Oakshire. It's not made in a blockbuster style, but is still quite enjoyable and easy to appreciate.

Stout with coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, and chiles, aged in bourbon barrels. Relatively thin for 14% ABV with barrel-ageing, but still producing some nice legs when swirled. After a year and a half, all of the additives are nicely melded together, with more dominant cinnamon and chile on the nose, coffee and cacao powder with light chile accents on the palate.

Dark, near black, and viscous in the chalice. Foam seems to be not an option. Very nice chile aroma which melds nicely with the Bourbon. Smoky and a little hot. Seriously dark with charred grain and burnt sugar.
Totally crazy with sugar but quite bitter, though nothing could cut this sweet malty tar pit. Overall this is quite sippable, it's just so hot it tastes stronger than wine of the same ABV. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

um, thin... nice aroma. decent taste. holy crap this stuff is good.... what does a 5 look like anyway? i like the thinness, drinkability of this. i think this is exceptional in every way. no hype to go on down here in SoCal cuz it doesnt distro here. but this is an excellent brew..... i dislike coffee in my beer but this is not over-powering in any way. the coffee is a 'helper' instead of prominent/dominant addition. the cocoa, the vanilla and the pepper each have a nice, distinguishable place in the brew. this is what Prairie Bomb tries to be. very satisfied.
