2024 vintage, a very impressive beer, done with strata this year, hazy and full of character, but light enough to drink, low on bitterness, very brightly carbonation which i often love in these, and its the first new beer ive had from oakshire in way too long, love what they do, always have. this has a couple of inches of just off white head on it with some web lacing as it drinks, a pale orange tone not crazy dense or anything, and a radiant nose of the coconut and melon side of strata, fresh and ripe and summery, light gin and pine too, clean though as they go even with a little malt character bringing balance. i get subtle graham cracker and toast from the grain in the taste, some wheat likely with the pale barley, nice and simple, not too much starch or heft, but enough for the hop volatiles to link up with, this is oily and dank and brand new, insane freshness, layers of ripe peach, ripe cantaloupe, watermelon rind, sweet orange zest, and again coconut, quite easy to place as strata, just a wonderful expression of it, low bitterness but not nothing on the swallow, soft almost creamy body and lively with all the bubbles this has. i think this is what fresh hop beer is all about, keep it simple, let the hops shine, take care of the details, and the result here just bangs. a drinker too, could make a night of these, juice forward and distinctive, awesome.

Pours a medium hazy amber with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. A nice burst of hops when you pop the top, and fresh earth as you sip. Slightly sweet with an astringent finish. Slippery and spritzy mouthfeel. Flavors of herbs, orange peel, and some murky greenery. Becomes quite acidic after a few sips. Overall this is in the NEIPA vein with the fresh hops adding to the aromatics. Tolerable but very sharp and bitter. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop in Astoria. Dated 09/09/24.

Light gold turbid with three fingers of cream color dense foamy head. Level drops leave swathes of fine bubble lace.
Smell is fruity citrus with a light puff of pine good bready malt backing.
Taste is sweet citrus fruit with a hint of pine. Good full bready malt back.
Mouthfeel is medium and well carbonated. The finish is slightly dry and mostly balanced.
Overall a true Hazy IPA. Canned on 09/21/21.
