Canned 6/30/23. Drank 11/15/25
Pour is jet black with a dense cap of cinnamon colored head. Good lacing and retention - surprisingly for a beer this big.
Nose is a wave of roasted coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, bourbon,
Taste follows. coffee upfront, followed quickly by a short hit of maple and then bourbon appears. Chocolate, toffee, vanilla
Thick, creamy, smooth body but appropriately low/moderate carbonation so the beer isn't coming off as "still" and too sweet - need some carbonation in there to help cut some sweetness.
Overall a very good beer. I'm sure it was much better fresher, and I'd like some more bourbon in it, but I'd be happy to drink it again.

16oz can. Date stamp on label is 'PKGD ON 04/24/24'. Label lists ABV% as 15.2%.
Notes from the brewer's website: "The 2024 iteration of C.R.E.A.M. was aged for nearly 18 months in Parker’s Heritage 15-Year Bourbon Barrels. After blending we added Organic Vermont dark and strong maple syrup, along with a Lida Rivas coffee from Columbia. This coffee was procured and roasted by our dear friends at Farmers Union Coffee Roasters."
Black colored body, with no back lit edge. Brief lasting thin brown head, with later there being a minor surface storm and thicker ring. Leaves behind a few lacing spots.
Aroma of roasted malts, bourbon barrel, oak, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Alcohol vapors.
Taste is sweet and sticky due to the maple syrup. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, bourbon barrel, vanilla, and oak. Hint of dark fruit and berry. All flavors extend into the medium duration aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Motor oil thick. Bitterness is very low and any high alcohol burn is well hidden, but repeated sips do bring warmth. Drying finish. Good carbonation.
Dessert sipper because of how sweet the taste is, not because of any burn. Coffee addition is solid but almost secondary because of the maple syrup and high ABV%.
