On draught at Bailey's, Red Wiggler is copper with an off-white head that leaves foamy lace.
Smell is tight, a bit malty, some spicy hops, caramel coming out as it warms.
Taste is pretty hoppy, but otherwise classic American amber. A nice spiciness as well as hoppy flavor, with a firm bitterness, on a clean bready malt backbone.
Mouthfeel is dry, but with creamy carbonation and a medium body.
Drinkability is pretty good, a sturdy amber ale in the regional style of hops=good.
