Poured at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown (almost black) with no head. Looks borderline still. The nose is wonderful. Big and boozy. Tons of toffee, figs, prunes, dates, and raisins. Big notes of bourbon. Brown sugar, bready malts, and a oloroso sherry note.
The taste is one the best tastes on a barleywine ever. Burnt toffee, tons of vanilla, oak, brown sugar, figs, prunes, and bread. Holy crap this is so smooth. The ABV is very hidden. This is so smooth and intense from the lack of carbonation. A bit of port comes through as it warms.
The mouthfeel is pretty thick and viscous, with a mildly sweet bourbon aftertaste. Slight burn on the way down. Overall, this is an absolute banger. I wish I had more.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a viscous deep brown with a one-finger foamy off-white head that disappears to leave nothing behind
S- as expected, huge barrel aroma on the nose; barrel juice, sharp old oak that lends notes of coconut, vanilla, caramel and toffee. Undertones of leather, tobacco, old books, brown sugar, booze soaked raisins and figs and chocolate. Seems to grow in complexity as it warms
T- rich, sweet and malty up front with bold notes of caramel, toffee & brown sugar. Mid-palate brings out bold, complex, but not overpowering barrel notes; wet oak, barrel juice, vanilla, toasted coconut and more emphasis on the caramel. As it nears the finish, dark fruit notes of raisins, figs and black cherries arise, along with notes of cherry tobacco. Lingers of rich barrel, caramel and toffee
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly syrupy mouthfeel that turns creamy into a warming finish
O- this one blew me away, I couldn't find a single flaw in the taste, absolutely outstanding

On tap at Saraveza.
Black with no head, this looks ominous. The nose is massive barrel, rich, boozy, warming with vanilla and coconut, with caramel, dark fruit, milky chocolate, Graham cracker. Sweet, but balanced. Fruity oxidation is clearly noticeable. The palate opens massive, big, boozy and warming but paradoxically, reserved and balanced. Dark caramel, treacle, dark brown sugar, buckwheat honey, a little leather that's offset by the large sweetness. Earthy and boozy finish with heat tempered by the sweetness. Coconut and vanilla, lovely barrel richness. Full body, long warming finish. Delicious.
