Look: Slightly opaque light orange with a nice-looking head that slightly swells and quickly settles to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Oranges, strawberries, cantaloupe melon, blueberries, grapefruit, a little mango, and some sweet bready malt
Taste: Starts out with a nice citrus charge that includes oranges, grapefruit, and a little lime and is soon followed with a wave of berries. Some mango and melon appear and blend in in the middle along with some malt and closes with citrus fruits and berries
Mouthfeel: Full but light, very clean feeling throughout, medium-high carbonation, and finishes clean with no dryness detectable
Overall: This is a delicious beer. I’m now convinced Cold IPAs are a new sucker style for me as this one is another tasty one and I haven’t had one yet that is anything short of being highly enjoyable. The citrus/berry/light tropical fruit flavors and aromas are extremely good and again, seem to shine more than in a standard IPA. Cheers to Oakshire for this awesome libation and look forward to more in this series
