On tap at Bailey's the other day.
The beer pours a golden honey color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is impressive in this beer, showcasing considerable smoked meats, smoked salmon and sweet malt. The flavor profile replicates the nose, with the lavish smoke flavor balancing the sweet malt pretty well. The beer is still fairly sweet, but is not cloying or tiring on the palate. The smoke flavor couners the sweetness in this beer quite well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with persistent flavor and a fairly long finish. The beer is quite drinkabable, with the alcohol barely noticeable.
A very nice beer, and one that will be appreciated by those who enjoy a good rauch beer.
