Was happy to meet the Oakshire lads at a tap takeover. Good guys, and they weren't pushing beer either.
L: As opaque as you'd expect
S: Chocolate, leather, oaky with a hint of fruit (dried cherry, plum?) roasty malt.
T: Chocolate, vanilla, more leather, bourbon, cherry, maybe a little coconut and oak.
F: thick, but not over the top
O: I really enjoyed this stout. The leather and oak are really nice.

On tap at Roscoe's in PDX today. This was a pleasant surprise.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. That being said, this looks like a beer that has seen some considerable barrel aging. The nose is pretty reminiscent of prior hellshire batches, showcasing dark chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, light leather and underlying bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this sweet ba stout. I'd give this beer a higher score, but the sweetness combined with the considerable alcohol is just a bit much. That being said, this is still a pretty well crafted ba impy stout. Mouthfeel is fairly full, with a long, sweet, boozy finish. Drinkability is not this beer's strong suit (due to the Sweetness and high abv.), but otherwise this is a pretty solid ba impy stout.

22oz bottle $19.99. I got the last bottle at my local in Denver, this beer seems to be under the radar for pastry bois online but gets snapped up quick every time it shows up. It's delicious. This is just as good as some of the top years of BCBS or Parabola back when that was a top tier barrel aged stout. Bourbon aroma, deep malts, Thick, sticky, chocolate, vanilla, booze, bourbon flavors. Reminds me of the old small 12oz bottles of BCBS. whew!
