Dark flavors, sudsy mouthfeel, and smooth malty finish. Dark brown in the glass. Inviting aroma of roasted grain and something hoppy. Mellow and malty but not overly sweet. Some coffee taste, a touch of burnt ends and burnt sugar. There's a distinct but modest bitter aftertaste. Overall this is one of the better Porters I've had in quite a while. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop in Astoria. Dated 06/26/24.

Appearance - Pours near black with cola brown edging where light can penetrate. Tan, finger width head that holds firm before finally dying to a thin, consistent film across the surface. Lacing is strong, with solid sheeting decorating much of the glass.
Smell - Chocolate, cream, caramel, lesser roast and a hint of floral hoppiness,
Taste - Follows the nose. Chocolate, cream and roast upfront, with lesser caramel sweetness following shortly. Hops hit around mid-taste and give the profile a bit of grass and floral bitterness., which linger in the aftertaste, along with chocolate and caramel.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, creamy texture before a lightly dry finish.
Overall - Solid. Pretty much everything you'd expect from the style. Nothing innovative, but it is a fine example of an American Porter.
