Pours a finger of off-white head into my snifter. Retention is average. Lacing is great. Body is a deep reddish brown. Looks pretty nice.
Nose is fig, raisin, with a noticeable clove. Smells amazing.
Flavor is very similar, fig, raisin, clove. Malty, maybe some caramel. Tastes wonderful.
Carbonation is modest and pretty subtle. Has a bigger body that drinks incredibly smooth. A normal perceived sweetness for the style, finishes clean. Bitterness is relatively low. There is a little heat on the back end but not much. Overall a fantastic mouthfeel.
Despite the slight heat, this is incredibly easy to drink; too smooth and tasty to slow me down.
Just absolutely delicious.
