Dark brown colour which is fairly clear. Small tan head. Really bad head retention on the slightly creamy head.
Light fruity, cherry notes from the Pinot on the nose. A touch dull.
Lots of wine on the palate with some cherry notes. Oak. Mild spicy notes. A touch of hop character and darker malt. Could be a little bigger and maltier.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Good.
A decent Barrel Aged dark ale with nice flavour and plenty of barrel character but a touch too fruity with a slightly lack of body.
