Darkish brown, maybe leaning toward black, with an off-white head. Nose is quite roasty with a touch of citrus and yeast. Some licorice and sugar notes, dark fruit, and a touch of acidity. The flavor is quite roasty, which gives a definite acidity to the beer. Some plums and raisins, licorice, and faint citrus notes. Not really very good.
