This is not a "real" bock. This is what I call a Texas Bock (like Shiner Bock or Ziegenbock), but it is actually an American Dark Lager. Since there isn't a category for that on BA, I chose Bock.
A - Pours up almost black with some ruby highlights and a tan head that falls to a thin layer of bubbles on top.
S - Smells of caramel, some raisin notes, and a hint of hops.
T - Starts off with sweet malt flavor, and finishes with a chocolate flavor. No hops detected. A bit of roast left on the back of the tongue
M - A little on the thin side, and bit light on carbonation
D - Easy drinking beer, not too heavy or harsh.
