Atmosphere: A cozy pub with a beautiful (but remote) setting at the top of Long Tom Pass. In winter there is usually a log fire burning. Sadly due to the location it is only busy over weekends.
The brewery is behind glass, directly behind the bar - great to enjoy a pint while looking at the next one being made!
Quality: The beer served is fresh and used to be pretty tasty, however on my latest visit (first in a year or so) the beers were shocking - almost all infected! I don't understand how the brewer can serve something at his own pub when it is clearly infected!
Service: The service is great! The owner and brewer are usually there and are happy to discuss the beer they brew and beer in general.
Selection: The selection isn't great - they only serve the 4 beers that they brew (a pale ale, bitter, porter and wit).
It would be nice if they experimented a little and tried their hand at brewing some different styles.
Food: They only seemed to serve snack baskets - consisting of chips and fried goodies. The quality was fine, but a little more variety would be appreciated.
Value: Pretty good value for money beer wise.
