a - Pours a clear golden color with a hint of white head and light carbonation evident.
s - Smells of wheat, bready malts, light fruit.
t - Tastes of bready malts and citrus, fruity malts.
m - Light body and low carbonation.
d - An ok beer but kind of faint in both the smell and taste. Probably wouldn't seek out again.

Off the tap in Stowe this 3.9% beer was a gold color (duh) and the two-finger head was cream-colored. The clarity was good, the retention good and the lacing in thin bands. The aroma was soft, dry and highly floral with some pale malt behind that. The flavors were very refreshing, summery pale malt, light floral notes and a crisp finish. Simple and slightly 'green.' The body was light, the mouthfeel watery and the carbonation low. Quaffable and sessionable even if not much more.

this beer was poured a slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that fades to nothing very quickly. the aroma comes through fairly decently with a bit of malt and some sort of fruity esters. the taste follows suite with with the sweet malt and some citrus hops at the finish. it has a light body and goes down easily.

Poured a light copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured a grainy malt and a good flowery hop.
The taste consisted of a light doughy malt that was balanced well by a subtle hop.
The mouthfeel was clean and of average fullness for the style.
Overall an easy drinking light ale.

This was my least favorite offering by Shed. I had it as part of their sampler. I likened this one to the beer that is designed for people who come to the Shed looking for some crappy macro, but realize they only sell their own at the establishment. The beer's aroma is pretty faint but the beer does have some consistency and does lace. It is a crispier beer, with a bit of corn husk to the flavor. It is surprisingly dry in the finish. This one is very mediocre. Drink it quickly and get to the Mountain ale or the IPA, both of which are in a different league than this one.

On tap at the brewpub. Golden yellow colour. Bubbles, hard carbonation, a little lace. Neutral aroma, medium mouthfeel, 3.9% A.b.v. Odd bitterness. Merely passable beer, with little in the taste department offset but nothing offensive. Not the highlight.

Named for the cold and fast-flowing river that runs off Mount Mansfield and winds its way through the town of Stowe, passing quickly behind the Shed. This beer is a light straw yellow color with a low white head. Very bubbly. Light aroma of corn and biscuits. Tingly mouthfeel leads to a sweet corn flavor with a slight butterscotch and cinnamon finish. Flavor is very understated. Too understated. This one lacks in character overall.
