This beer pours a dark black color in which light cannot penetrate. aroma is roasty and smokey with strong coffee overtones. The taste is much of the same except that the smoked flavor shows much more strongly. A fine example of a smoked porter and very smooth and drinkable. I made a smoked porter myself but it can't even touch this by a long shot.
