Appearance: black in color, minimal head,
Smell: burnt malt, faint smoke that is not overpowering
Taste: burnt malt with a smoky woody taste towards the end
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth, semi-sweet
Drinkability: This is a solid eample of an American smoked porter. The smoke does not consume the beer, but lasts in the aftertaste. It is nice to see a microbrew do a smoked style and this is a fine example. I could have several of these.
