I've never heard of a Munich Porter before so I'm guessing this beer was a variation of a Schwarzbier? Off tap at the brewery this beer was a very dark brown color with a light tan head. The retention was good especially as a collar and the lacing spotty. The aroma was of chocolate malt, floral hops and hints of vanilla, very nice! The flavors were lighter than the aroma suggested but still reflective of the chocolate malt and caramel malt. I also tasted some nutty notes and coffee on the finish. I'm guessing the malts were German because the beer was clearly European in style and appropriately dry. The mouthfeel, however, was watery for a porter, the body medium and the carbonation light. Highly quaffable.
