Hit this place after the 4th of July weekend. They were out of all of their beer, but had a nice tap list of outsiders. We sat on the back deck and had lunch and a beer. Food was good, but their smoker was not working (bad fire I guess), so limited menu. Still, it hit the spot. Great place for post hike.

At first this place seemed a little crammed, but that is the charm of the place. The food was delicious and the beer was great! I had the Hop Diggity IPA and it was delicious. Will go again!

this is a cool spot in the forgotten town of ned, lots of fun here. its a modest little spot, no brew equipment visible, cafe vibe and layout, bar in the back, nice views, uncrowded on a sunday afternoon, bright natural light inside, welcoming. they have only maybe four or five house beers on and a few extra guest taps but nothing too exciting there, and we both liked our beers. i had a cherry bock, my lady a peach wheat, both were quite solid, and the food here is excellent, authentic bbq, and the beers seem built for that, mostly clean and drinkable stuff. i loved the sauces, and the cherry bock was a nice choice for my lunch, the pulled chicken sando. overall the beer wasnt incredible, but its not really the focus from what i gathered, just a solid place to spend some time and catch a meal and a buzz, very local vibe, service was friendly enough but disinterested generally, and prices were more than fair. i would go here again in a second after another ski day at eldora or just cruising around the mountains. mellow and fun.

Nice little spot located on 1st Street in downtown Nederland. Great atmosphere, pretty classy compared to other places in town.

These guys have excellent food. Lots of tasty BBQ and smoked meats. The hot wings and sweet potato fries are some of the best I've had, I I've had a lot.

Excellent service as well. Everyone is very nice and helpfull. Alwasy a short wait.

They brew their own beers, which are quality, but nothing amazing. A few good guest beers as well.

Prices are a bit high, but still a nice treat. Definately worth checking out next time you ski Eldora.

Wild Mountain has a great lodgeski townhippie feel.

You can smell the BBQ from down the street. Yummy. You can also smell the skunk weed, i am sure you need less then cancer to get Rocky Mountain High on First St.

They have a terrific San Francisco Haight meets Boulder feel with tons of Grateful Dead memorabilia lacquered into the tables. The deck is stellar, looking over the valley.

They have four house beers, and you get the four and one guest beer when you get the brewski sampler. This is the first place i have seen mix the house with one guest.

There are only eight taps, but the selection compliments rather then competes with the house beers.

All of the house beers take a little risk, from the double red to the coffee porter. All were flavorful and balanced. A little risk to distinguish your self from the diverse CO beer scene is good.

I stumbled onto this place after missing the trailhead for a hike and just kept driving up to Nederland. The three of us were beer fans so we figured we may as well stop in, thank god we did.

The place is small but in a cozy way with a fire place, a few tables, and a bar. It was winter when we were here so the patio wasn't open. I liked though that the bar has a garage door that opens in the summer to serve the patio patrons -- should be noted that I am a fan of garage doors in buildings, so I guess that some what suckered me in.

I was impressed with their beer offerings, they have four of their brews on tap as well as four guest beers. I have been back a few times and their taps rotate a bit, in fact last time I was there they were about to add an ESB. I have had their Amber, Stout, Pale Ale and Big Ned's Red -- all very solid, the amber and big red were the only standouts. They also have an extensive bottle list as well as full bar and wine list.

This place is a brew pub in the truest sense, so there food is no slouch. They have a bbq based menu and I was shocked by how good it was. Granted its not the best in the country by any means -- Id still take a road side joint any day -- but definitely some of the better Q I've had in Colorado. The ribs are excellent as are many of their appetizers -- the smoked wings are a must, you will never go back to fried.

Its unfortunate that this place is 20-30 min, from Boulder, or I'd beer here every day. But if you happen to be in Ned, it is a must stop.

Visited on the way home from a nice summer camping trip and I'm glad we did. Nederland, like most mountain towns, is not very big. Wild Mountain is located just off the highways on a side street. Plenty of parking normally but the day we went they were having some festival so we had to park about a block away.

Once inside there was a smaller seating area and up against the back wall a small bar. We ended up sitting outside on the patio. The bar was pretty cool as there was a garage door they opened so that if you wanted you could sit at the bar outside. There was an upstairs and a downstairs but never got a looksy.

For the beers, they typically have 4 beers on tap. But when we went they only had three available. They did have 4 guest taps though (Stone Smoked Porter, Avery Karma and two others). They also had about a dozen or so bottles. Including a 12 oz of Beast for $5.99. That is the cheapest I have ever seen it, so we ended up getting a bottle after we sampled everything. As for their house beers, the three available were their Bodhi Amber, Hop Diggity Amber, and Mount Cherry Wheat. The IPA was great and by far their best beer. Great west coast IPA that I would recommend.

We were planning on a short visit but ended up staying longer than expected so we order a few appetizers. I tried the wings, which they have about 6 different options for sauces. I ended up doing the spice Texas style. It was very good. For sure I need to make another trip up and try a full meal.

The staff was very friendly, even with our large crowd. Pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Overall this was great stop. Now I just need to figure out how I can make it up again!

Great. Had a day of skiing planned. Got turned around before Idaho Springs, as I-70 was closed. Decided to take the back way back to Ft. Collins. Walked in right as they opened. Was planning on eating later in the day, but after 1 beer in the 5 beer (6 oz.) "Brew Ski" sampler, knew that the piece of toast I had for breaky, wasn't going to do it.

Beers were very good. Had all 4 of the house beers. The Pale ale, amber, IPA are highly recommended. Had a handful of "guest" beers on tap.

Had the nachos. Brilliant. Smoked, pulled chicken. Great BBQ sauce. Will return, to have more. Beer and food. Cool little place.

Stopped by mid afternoon on a Thursday, and was the only one in the place! Comfortable space, not very roomy but not cramped, though possibly would be on a busy night. The deck was nice, overlooked Boulder Creek and the valley.
The waitress was extraordinarily friendly and very beer-knowledgable. Wasn't sure what to expect, sometimes staff at a brewpub is hit or miss, but she was great. Also, she was very honest about their beers, even the ones she didn't care for, but had good reasons.
Okay, so the food--mostly BBQ, and pretty tasty. Not great, but good, and a very reasonable price. A huge pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries for less than $8, I couldn't eat it all.
The beers: They had a Cherry Wheat (rather good, not too fruity, yet had good body to it, not as light as most), an amber (which the waitress said was a bit different than normal and more like a pale ale--it was quite hoppy, but I REALLY liked it), a Pale Ale (quite good, probably my favorite, really well balanced), and a wet-hopped IPA (very tasty, quite grassy, good hops, very nice!). They also had guest taps of Stone Smoked Porter, Avery Karma, New Belgium 1554, and one other I can't remember. All in all, a cool place with very good beer--nothing that will blow your mind, but just plain good and worth the trip up the canyon!

The website for this place considerably overstates the uniqueness of the building, the interior atmosphere, and the scenic views from the deck – particularly by Colorado mountain standards. That said, our impression of this establishment was positive overall.

As you enter the building, you walk into the dining area and have to navigate the crowd of tables to get to the small, L-shaped bar at the back. Wild Mountain is new, and perhaps the initial spike in interest will wane, but the place was packed at 3:00 pm on a Sunday. Out the back door, beyond the bar, is the deck. The bar also opens to the deck, but it seemed to be mostly a service area.

We were put on the waiting list for table, fought our way to the bar, and after several minutes were able to get through the crowd to order a beer. On tap were an IPA, a Blonde, a Pale Ale, an Amber, and a Wheat. Perhaps a Stout and a Red? My memory fails me in old age….. The two guest taps were Stone Smoked Porter and Avery Hog Heaven. We tasted the IPA and PA. The IPA was quite hoppy and nice, in the Colorado style. The PA was so-so. I had to opt for the Hog Heaven.

After a while, we were seated on the deck and food service was fairly slow, due to the glut of customers. The menu is dominated by barbecue and each smoked meat option is offered with either Carolina mustard-based sauce, peppery, vinegar-based, Memphis-style sauce, or a typical tomato-based sauced. We tried a couple of the meats as sandwiches, and one of the salads. The food was fairly good and prices were realistic.

All in all, a worthwhile stop in Nederland, and the only game in town
