"Time to take a trip to "MALTVANA"! We used our house Kölsch yeast at very low temperatures to make beautiful amber brew, with a classic malt bill and long aging. Prost!"
Brewed with organic Pilsner and organic Munich Malt, imported crystal malts, and Sterling hops. 6.2% ABV, 25 BU

Double Mountains Vienna arrives just in time for Oktoberfest. It is cold fermented with their kölsch yeast though the result lacks traditional clarity. Its also not brewed with Vienna malts, which seems odd. But this is a very drinkable beer. The aroma has notes of strawberry and raspberry, and the taste imparts a light fruity sweetness with a kiss of honey. It is shadowed brown, unfiltered, and achieves graceful lace with a respectable head.
The menu indicates that the beer is brewed with fresh Oregon crystal hops. I never learned if by fresh hops they meant wet hops, but the finish seems higher than the purported 25 IBU so Im guessing that wet hops, with their inexact properties, may have been used.
