Served snifter at Double Mountain, Abbey Hoffman is tawny brown with a small, big bubbled white head.
Smell is nice, malty raisin. A bit bland when served iced cold, but it opened up nicely.
Taste is very nice, raisin and caramelized sugar, minty hops, but a balanced lightness to it. As they claimed on the menu, somewhere between a single and dubbel.
Mouthfeel is soft, light and very digestible.
Drinkability is great, I loved this beer. Light and flavorful, clean, with no phenols or alcohol character.
