i absolutely adore both of these breweries so buying this was a no brainer, especially at this insanely fair price point, wow! i would have paid double, even after tasting it, it surely does not disappoint! a great collaboration in a style both of these operations do so well, hoppy, mostly clear, bitter enough but dry hopped more than anything else, fresh and flavorful as can be, i get orange and tangerine and mandarin notes, some green grape, grapefruit, and then some tropical elements like mango and key lime and floral honey, but its not overly hopped in the least, pulls some balance out of the grain profile, and is fermented clean as can be, which i love in the style. no starchy grains for body and haze, no forced pellet hops to the dome for the sake of boldness, and no lingering new school vermont or old school british yeast because its trendy, its so pure, so free from hype and trend influence, and as such, so damn endearing in this day and age! count on these two for something authentic, and they deliver! medium bodied maybe a little lighter, packed with stone fruit and orange goodness, not forced or trying to be anything it isnt, just great beer from a technical standpoint and the kind of ipa other should aspire to be. two legends absolutely nailing it here, and at rock bottom price, love to see it!

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Bright carbonation with refreshing fizzy mouthfeel. Aroma is dark, more dank, leaf mold. Taste is pretty simple with the husky, herbal start and a berry and plum finish. Just a slight malty sweetness.

This is kind of winey and austere. Aftertaste is quite bitter with the green leafy hop intensity. Not my idea of fun, but at least it is a clean flavor and not a fruit bomb. Collaboration with E-9 Brewing. From the 500 ml refillable bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station up north.
