500ml bottle from Double Mountain. Clear, pale golden pour, abundant white head which sticks around. Dusty, grainy aroma. Taste is sweet, biscuity, grainy and a little bit dry.

Look: A clear light yellow with an awesome-looking white head that explodes to the rim and slowly settles to a pillow, spangling the glass with lacing as it does
Aroma: Fragrant floral hops, soda crackers, rice water, pilsner malt, and light honey-like sweetness
Taste: Starts out with pilsner malt and crackers that start to then transform to light a fragrant rice and rice water notes. The floral onslaught soon follows with notes of western azalea, southern magnolia, and sweet box and these shine for a bit before rice and pilsner malt return to close it out
Mouthfeel: Light but full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and crisp and clean on the finish
Overall: This is a delicious beer. I’ve always enjoyed rice lagers as I feel the subtle fragrant rice notes pair well and seem to compliment pilsner malt and enhance floral hop notes in a way that other light lagers can’t and this is a perfect example of a tasty and well-made one that does just that. These folks have another winner here and I would and do easily recommend it

Clear golden amber brew with lots of lacing down the Hopleaf goblet. Light and crisp with a pleasant malty taste. Aromatic with a light grain and cereal note plus a touch of flowery hops. Really nice classic Rice Lager flavor, which is reminiscent of the aroma of sake. A very tasty quaff and a fine choice for a lower-alcohol brew. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.

this is precisely the kind of thing i expect double mountain to come out of left field and nail, and they do. a gorgeous and summery light lager here brewed with rice, so clean and refreshing and dry and drinkable, and with more flavor than so many of these are able to bring, really impressed by this, i am pretty much always impressed by what these guys make, so much cool beer across the full range of styles, definitely a gem of the northwest. clear and golden and beautiful from the tap, a crowning inch of white foam, jovial bubbles, looks light and delicious. the aroma and flavor hit on the same pitch, a light jasmine or elderflower blossoming note to this giving it a seasonally appropriate springy freshness, some light lemon from some hops too, but subtle, very minimal grain profile, rice not totally evident as a grain, some pils malt, high minerality, lightly bready lager yeast, expert refinement, bone dry. its simple but it has nuance, its crushable but its not boring and just yellow beer, the yeast adds a lot even though its delicate, and overall the quality here is enormous. awesome lager for summer, a style i see catching on a little bit with american brewers and i love it. effervescent carbonation, clean on the swallow, awesome for hot weather! this is everything i want in one of these and nothing i dont.
