Look: Light orange – almost dark yellow – with a frothy white head that erupts to the rim, slowly settling, and holding well as a pillow
Aroma: Lime, lemon, white grapefruit flesh and rind, some fir, pine needles, orange rind/zest, pomelo, and light bready malt
Taste: A slough of citrus fruit starts to gain momentum behind what I can best describe as ‘minty vanilla’ and slowly leaks into the fold – this is one of the most unique flavors I’ve ever detected in a beer. Sappy conifer needles come into play along throughout and mingle well with the citrusy/minty vanilla through the close
Mouthfeel: Light but full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean on the finish with a light dryness
Overall: I dig it. This is a very unique beer and I grabbed it mainly because of it being a single hop beer with a hop I have no clue about nor experience with – Talus. This bright citrus and conifer are a nice combo in this as is the one hard-to-describe flavor that really sets this beer and hop apart – part mint, part light vanilla, part fresh rain. It’s odd but fun to drink and I dug it

Pours a clear amber with some coarse foam in the Brigand chalice. Quite aromatic with fruit and pine and strawberries in the nose. Fairly dry on the tongue with plenty of spritz. Quite peppery tasting with a woody aftertaste. A touch of coconut, some lime, and a bitter finish. This is really a different sort of hoppy brew. It's quite boldy flavored but also rather austere. IBUs are rate at 65. From the 500 ml refillable bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated sometime in 2023.
