Served in tulip. Poured a clean, clear brownish red with over an inch of off-white head that had moderate retention and medium lacing.
The aroma was sweet with a bit of spiciness in the background. On the tongue, the combination of malt and sweet blended very nicely. There was a nice yeasty spice taste and the beer finished surprisingly dry for as sweet as it was.
The body was very full, but not at all heavy. Drinkability was good, but at over 9% ABV, this beer will sneak up you in hurry. Overall, a very nice beer from a very good brewery. Worth seeking out.
