Look: Pours a slightly opaque light yellow and quickly, a lovely white head forms and settles to a dimpled lid, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: Raspberries, navel orange flesh and rind, Lemonhead candy, some kiwi, tangerines, starfruit, limes, and some bready malt
Taste: Opens up with a quick hit of lemongrass, lemon candy, and limes that hang for just a second before the orange-led charge ensues. Piles of orange, tangerine, and some tangelo work in and mingle with the lemon-lime component as some raspberry, kiwi, and starfruit pop up here and there. Malt is present but light and lets the hops shine through to the close
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and just a touch dry on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. The odd style and bottle art drew me to this beer but I also love brewers get creative and try odd, unique, or new things, which a “Bavarian IPA” definitely is. It’s tasty and well-made with the nice features of two German hops shining throughout and putting a fun spin of a typically oversaturated style, the IPA. Definitely worth checking out and I’d get it again myself

Clear golden amber with ample foam in the New Belgium snifter. LIght and sudsy mouthfeel. Starts out like an English IPA, with some earthy and herbal flavors. Dry and soft with pillowy carbonation. No hint of fruit, it's all dry green and earthy taste. Intense hoppy bitterness takes hold after half a glass. Quite starkly bitter with a mineral aftertaste. Not an experience to be repeated, even though it was promising to start. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Community Co-op. Filled on 1/27/24.
