Last year, we rested some of our Chocolate Stout in freshly emptied 10yr bourbon barrels from Clear Creek Distillery. The barrels impart a lovely caramel and warm vanilla aromas and flavors that go oh so well with the baker’s chocolate and black strap molasses present in the stout. Cozy up. It’s all good.

his beer pours a medium dark brown color with a thin head. The aroma is definite chocolate with some caramel and roasted malt and mild bourbon. This beer is easy drinking and flavorful, not like some of the barrel aged stouts. Portland Holiday Beer Fest. Rated 12-8-2024
