Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Brigand chalice. Aromatic with apple and pine. There is a distinct pineapple flavor that lasts into the aftertaste. More flavors of melon, white grapes, grapefruit, and a darker woody finish. Plenty bitter with a smoky note. This is certainly a good example of old school American IPA brewing. I'm really happy to see these "From the Vault" beers brought back with new hops and old recipes. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Pours clear amber with a long lasting white head... Thick caramel maltiness but still fermented out.. great fruity hoppiness... pithy citrus with tropical fruits... Nice hop presence, but still balanced... A bit weird for a PNW IPA, but definitely hits the spot in the middle of the cold winter.
