Look: Pale straw-yellow in color. Pours with a 1+ finger off-white head that dies down leaving a few remnants of foam on the surface of of the beer. Lots of medium bubbles visible from the carbonation. Looks like a very good quality commercial beer.

Smell: Light aroma of malt, grass and grain. Appealing.

Taste: Malt, mild hops with a grainy finish. Very nice for the style.

Feel: Mild fizzy sensation from the carbonation. Thinner body; but not too watery. Velvety feel. Mild dry finish yet still refreshing. Very Good for the style.

Overall: Very good pilsner. No wow-factor, but a solid example of the style. Very drinkable. Nice for a hot day when you want something lighter.

Back in the saddle again. Its been a long time since my last review but I'm at my parents'place in Key Largo, Florida and it's Easter and I'm not religious and a bit bored, so here we go.

It seems that Florida finally has a burgeoning craft beer scene. They sure took
their time but I'm glad they made it. This pours pale, almost ginger ale colored, with little head or excitement. Nose is almost nonexisistent. Maybe a touch of medicinial hoppiness and grass aroma but really faint.

Solid malt backbone here with surprisingly bitter aftertaste. Not a proper pilsner hop bitterness, but in the neigborhood. Kind of like Becks, with less taste andmore bitter aftertaste. Some complexity but the mouthfeel is thin and the balance just feels off overall.

This isn't terrible and shows some promise, it just really isn't there yet. I would try something else from these guys but this one is scarcely better than the European imports at two or three bucks pricier per sixer.

On tap at the brewery taproom.
Pale golden body with good clarity and a durable white head.

Bitter-sweet leans to the bitter side. Light hop and mild malt flavor.

Feel: a bit thin but this works OK with the medium+ carbonation.

I'll keep this one short and sweet...

-Look: Pale murky yellow/orange: the head held up for 2-3 sips before vanishing
-Smell: Not much going on here, a bit musky
-Taste: I prefer my pilsners with a crisp/clean taste, where as this is much more mellow overall with a bland hoppy finish.

16 OZ tap poured into a pint glass.
Aroma - not much there, some citrus
Appearance - a clear straw yellow with a small white head.
Taste- Grass flavor with some hops
Palate- ight bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a slight acidic feel.
Overall- Not a bad beer. I would drink this again.

12 oz bottle from NC. Heavy skunk aroma with the same taste. There is another off flavor in the taste, most likely oxidized. My hope is that it is just a old, light struck bottle that slipped thought the cracks. I had to pour it down the drain.

Appearance: Slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin collar and little lacing.

Aroma: Light straw grains, grassy hops and a slight hint of DMS.

Flavor: Touch of earthy, grassy hop and medium bitterness. Slightly more mild than a big Saaz'd up pils.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied, fairly refreshing, with some lasting hop astringency.

My first offering from the local Florida Beer Company and I am very happy with it. Great look for a pils, even though the head was weak. Great citrus smell and taste - I enjoyed the full-bodied pilsner flavor. It had a good, smooth texture, but nothing overly impressive. Although overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Good job guys!

APPEARANCE: This is about as pale as a beer can get. Straw yellow is an understatement. There are bubbles everywhere in this thing, thousands of them are darting up from the bottom, clinging to the sides and making up the big, bubbly, white head. Speaking of the head, that thing does not go anywhere, it seems to be locked in place. The lacing is spectacular, layered and very consistently thick.

SMELL: In all honesty, it smells like there are some adjuncts in here…nothing bad, but maybe wheat? It smells like wheat. Other than that there’s a touch of hops; grass along with hints of lemon and maybe a bit of pine.

TASTE: A fair amount of citrus leads the way here as a lot of bready flavors provide the backbone. Some other hop flavors, like grass and pine creep in, but they are not the stars of this show, the citrus is.

MOUTHFEEL: Perfect for a Pilsner. Light, crisp, refreshing and very easy-drinking, this is a beer for a humid, 105-degree day. Very light body and semi-sweet, leading to super-dry.

OVERALL: I know Florida can get rough in the summer, but they need to get this bottle up to Chicago in July, it’ll kill there. Real easy-drinking.

Between 42-45 IBU's
Appearance: Nice light golden color, a little cloudy, and a frothy white head.
Smell: Nice grassy, floral, piney, notes typical of a pilsner beer with a slight citrus orange toasty smell
Taste: Light hoppy, grassy, pine, citrus notes
Mouthfeel: Smooth light, crisp and refreshing.
Overall: Both Shagdog and I enjoyed this Craft German Pilsner style beer. It is not the absolute best however still very enjoyable light pilsner with a craft flare.
