Off-white head. Clear, pale golden colored beer.
Aroma of grainy malt with a hint of a lemony scent.

Very light and watery with little flavor. Grainy malt balanced nicely by some dryness and crispness. This is all on a very small scale, though. This beer is pretty clean and I'd pick it over Bud Light.

Mouthfeel is thin and watery as expected.
Clean, light and easy to drink. Just not much flavor.
Overall, a solid light lager, but a light beer can only be so good. Thanks to AKSmokedPorter for the bottle.

Poured a clear golden yellow with a head of an inch that quickly vanished to a very thin layer. Spots of lace left on glass. Smell is of light malt , tidbit of adjunct , tinge of hop and slight grapeish aroma. Taste is of course light , with some soft malt , again a bit of adjunct flavor and a quick flash of very slight fruityness and hop. Mouthfeel is light. Overall quite drinkable , just nothing special. I would prefer it over most light beers that i have tried.

12oz. bottle courtesy of AKSmokedPorter.

Ugh. Nasty stuff. Poured a clear pale yellow in color. Super-fizzy head receives help from the bubbles floating up from the bottom of the glass. Aromas are almost non-existent. Unrefined. Leafy/grassy. Flavor is a grainy-corny mix. Unpleasing. Flavor is drawn out metallo-bitterness. Quite thin, highly carbonated, and watery. Pass.

Pours an extremely pale yellow color with a very thin head that quickly dissapears. Aromas are faint malt and you can also pick up a small bit of the hops as well. Taste is clean, crisp and refreshing with very little taste. The taste is not bad like some of the light lagers on the market, there just isn't that much to speak of. The little taste that is present is mainly malt with a slight hop bitterness at the end. Drinkability is high because if I had to I could drink these all night because these are so light and unobtrusive to the palate. Overall, I would have to say that this is better than the light lagers BMC puts out.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing me a bottle of this from Florida.

Pours light golden yellow - plenty of clarity - a thin head drops off. Typical light lager appearance - maybe a tad more golden at most.

The smell is of corn with a slight nod of grain.

The taste is of corn with just enough of a touch of grain to make it bearable. Thin and seltzery, there is a tonic water-like aftertaste.

Not awful for the style, but pretty close. Nothing much but corn, slight grain and plenty of fizz.

Got this one out of the Ybor sampler pack so naturally I had to try it even though I shun light beers. Pours the typical pale gold color with a wee little head and no lacing. Smelled barely of sweetcorn and wet Cherrios. Taste was thin and weak with a mouth full of carbonation and some mild cereal grains and corn. It was certainly light.

Bought in a variety pack which included, this selection, Gaspar's Porter, Wheat, Brown Ale, and their Amber. All around pretty decent beers, not one in the pack I didn't not like.

Great Florida beer, high drinkability and very thirst quenching. Other words not much in the way of originality but it's a light beer. Above average hop character for a light. Nice malts background. Carbonation is perfect and doesn't get caught in your throat if you take a big chug. Don't look for anything special but definately grab instead of a swill macro.

Pours a brilliantly clear, light gold color, with a frothy, pale, almost perfectly white head (almost seems to have a bluish tint to it). The aroma is a combination of sweet grain character and a light spicy hop note, neither is that pronounce. The taste has a definite sweet graininess to it as well. It is very light on the palate, and only has a hint of bitterness in the finish. The main character of this beer is the sweetness, what there is to balance this barely does the job; mainly there is the spritzy, effervescent carbonation and the aforementioned hint of bitterness. This is certainly a light beer, not much character, and best consumed on a hot day by someone who is thirsty and allergic to plain water.

Ybor Gold Light pours a pale yellow with a thin white head from a brown twelve ounce bottle. The aroma is a bit grainy, nothing offensive. Flavor is unoffensive, but pretty watery, it really just doesn't taste like much of anything. Good lawnmower beer, otherwise not worth the effort.

I got this in a trade with jwc215. Thanks Joe!

It pours a pale yellow with a large head of foam.
Pretty good head retention.

The smell is mostly corn. Smells typical for the style.

The taste has notes of corn and a slight lemon tartness. Not much going on here but it *is* a light beer so there are no surprises. ;^) I will say that I like it better than the Miller Lite I had yesterday.

Mouthfeel and drinkability are also typical and low on the scale. Still, I'm glad I got the chance to try it and that goes for every beer I get in trades.

From a 12 oz bottle from the Ybor multipack, "June" notched on the freshness date, though quite alarmingly, only "03, 04, and 05" were listed for years. I'm assuming "2007."

Vigorous pour yields a thick white head above an attractive, pale yellow-golden body with good carbonation. Head fades quickly leaving a thin film and sticky sheets of lace. Nose is semi-sweet malt and a faint bready/yeasty element. Pretty average. Tastes of light ale, a bit thin but overall quite superior to a typical “macro” lite. I’m seeing this as a good “gateway” beer for diehard “lite” drinkers. Mouth is a bit thin with minor carbonation, really nothing spectactular here, but hey, it’s a “light.” Drinkability is good; this is an easy-drinking and refreshing beer.

Overall: A superior “light” in its own right, but overall quite average.

I purchased this brew as part of a 15 beer Ybor mix pack.

Pours a light golden color with a thin white head with minimal lacing. The smell is lightly hopped with a hint of citrus.

For a light beer, this one is pretty good. It didn't taste thin like a lot of light beers. Mouth feel and finish was also pretty good for a light beer.

On a hot Florida afternoon this would be a great thirst quencher.
