Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color ale with a cloudy hue and large foamy head with good retention. Aroma of coriander and cloves is really dominating with a nice touch of wheat. Taste is a mix between spices such as coriander and cloves and a pretty full wheat body. Carbonation is good with some lacing. I have to admit that this was a very well brewed wit with lots of spices and a full body and I wouldn’t mind to have easier access to.

Had this at Pub Le Mitan, directly above the small, new, clean brewery on Ile d'Orléans, 20 minutes north of Québec City.

Cloudy bright golden yellow with white foamy head. The brewery describes this as a hefe weizen and the aroma was definitely lemony-fresh and wheaty, but no detectable banana-type scents that often come with the style.

Taste was really perfect for the warm sunny day we were enjoying on the terrace overlooking the St Lawrence: crisp, very very fresh, mild in flavor with a nice tart finish. No lemon-pithy bitterness, but dry and balanced. Every brewery in Quebec seems to produce a "blanche" (as well as a "blonde", a "rousse" and an "ambrée")--this was one of the best, and certainly the most refreshing we had on our Québec trip.
