Tasted on May 20th, 2009.

Pours as a copper color beer with a very nice head formed of average bubbles. The head disappear rapidly. Smell is hops mainly but I get some malts too. I thought I smelled, in an earlier tasting more hops... so it is not as strong as I remembered. Taste is mainly hops, I would venture to earthy hops. At the end I detect the malts. This is due to the water used I believe since it is very minerals. I think this beer is well balanced. I thought it was more hoppy at the first time I drank that... my taste has changed since then, I'm drinking more hoppy beers now then a year ago... Very refreshing. A good IPA but a little bit pricy... however, I found a place where I can get a good price on it!

A basic IPA. Very little aroma, and it was more malty than faint hoppy. Bubbly fizzy head, medium yellow body colour. The taste is fruity and the hoppiness nice, they give a passable carbonation, and a mouthfeel that is perhaps a bit below average. I do not know the IBU, its between a pale and an IPA but I enjoyed drinking it.

Cloudy orange-amber color. Modest head but it lasts a long time. It leaves plentiful lace.

Earthy aromas of wet hay and dirt. Dry malt of mid-level crystal. Almost no hop!

The flavor is a dramatic improvement to the smell. First, there's good hop presence throughout the taste, culminating strongly at the swallow with an aftertaste that lasts a long time. I note a small amount of yeast. There is a solid malt base but that's not the focus. While a dry beer, the body is full.

Get past the smell and you have a winner.
