Dark brown color but light passes through barely. Good head with an even better (blanketing) lace.
Lots of chocolate and hazelnut aromas. I wouldn't immediately think of a British mild, but it's still attractive.
Thin bodied but full flavored. Lots of nutty dark malt flavors. Lots of carbonation which exasperates the thin body. Short aftertaste of walnuts and general sourness. Some hop bitterness at the end, but it's an afterthought.

Had on tap at New World Tavern, Plymouth..served into pint glass
Appearance: 1/4 inch head, moderate carbonation, golden/brown in color, clear
Smell: toasted malt and slight nut
Taste: big toasted malt, some chocolate, light char hops
Mouthfeel: sweet with light bitterness, medium body, medium-light carbonation
Overall:Above average and tasty English style beer. I would do this one again, but there are others in the style I would get first.
