Mayflower Belgian IPA combines the spicy character of a Belgian yeast strain with the big, fruity aroma of Azacca, Nugget, and Centennial hops. All the hop additions for this brew are added late in the boil, creating a smooth bitterness along with big hop aroma from a heavy dose of centennial dry hops. All those hops are balanced by Munich and a small amount of Abbey malts.

Served in a pint glass at Estelle's.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale orange color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Floral, grassy, pungent, citrus hops followed by spicy yeast, some caramel, and pilsner malts.
Taste: Same as above. Looking for those traditional tripel flavors, but the hops are dominant and IPA malts. Still tasty though.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, boozy, bitterness, medium to full bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: Even though it is lacking some tripel characteristics, it is still a solid Belgian IPA. Hope the draft doesn't run out soon.
