Mayflower Hopflower is a new twist on our IPA. A grist of 2-row and Vienna coupled with a cooler than normal fermentation leave a clean canvas for the hops to shine. Loads of Mosaic and Simcoe late in the boil and Citra and Amarillo dry hops lend a brew filled with hop flavor and aromas of tropical fruits and resin. Limited draft only of 20 barrels.

On-tap 1/24/2016 at Pour Farm Tavern in New Bedford, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a strong grassy hops bitterness that is quickly followed by sweet flavors of citrus and caramel. The malt character is hearty and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid beer to drink for a long time.

Pale gold color and relatively clear. Light head but it leaves plenty of spots.

Grainy and mildly sweet. Moderate hop in the background.

Pale malt base with a strong hop presence. Like many an IPA, all bitterness no malt. Skim milk base with a moderate level of carbonation.
