From a 16 oz. can dated 09/13/18. Sampled on November 3, 2018.
The pour looks good with its cloudy, heady, light amber-yellow tone. Lacing.
This is several weeks old so the aromas are getting stale with a pungent bready maltiness and an herbal or fruity sensation in the hops.
Medium body.
The taste is becoming a mildly sweet malt bomb at this stage but there is a mild to moderate bitter bite that finishes things off. Almost burning.

Many thanks to SawDog505 for this can!
A - Hazy orange tan color, opaque, thin white lacing.
S - Huge juicy tropical fruit nose.
T - Lots of juicy pineapple from start to finish, juicy red grapefruit, possible a hint of peach.
M - Big thick body with light pricklies.
O - This is a fantastic D-IPA, highly recommended!

Galaxy, Citra 9/13/18. Opened on 9/23/18
A murky and deep, gold and copper color. High and chunky white foam hat, very slow dissipation with fat lacing and excellent coverage.
What a sweet nose! Densely sweet, fruity scented hops permeates the senses. Banana, mango, citrus orange and a creamy sweetness really has me realing. The malt seems extra sweet with a sour caramel effect. Bold stuff.
The fruity side of the hops hits your taste buds first, and when I say fruity, I mean SERIOUSLY fruity. The banana and mango combo follows suit within the taste, not just the nose. Alcohol heat isva bit high, as there might be some sugar-based boozy undertones that are a bit extreme. Even for a NE DIPA. Tangy and sour fruits like, white grapes and citrus based fruit seemsvto roll in the bitter end. Not really ever "earthy" or "green" style effects from the hops, just a nice, fruity-based complexity that is pretty high.
There is a sour-malty effect that happens near the finish, long and slick, cloying malty after affects is a bit odd.
The mouthfeel is mostly slick, malty and a bit heavy for the style. A crisp malty bite happens first but is quickly overtaken by a cloying and heavy malty texture. Not what I would concider smooth, just malt-heavy and cloying.
This stuff is very heady, big hop density but also just as malty dense, which makes it a bit rough around the edges and certainly on the palate.
Overall, I found the vibe to be to heavy, sweet and cloying with serious hop complexity but not all aspects are playing as a team, the yeast and malt seems to make a sour after effect which I cannot ignore. Perhaps this is just a victim of trying to hard? A bit of a Frankenstein brew.

[IMG] This beer from what have been told was brewed with a bunch of beer reps, very cool. Pours a very hazy orange with a finger plus head, that clings to the sides of the glass like a fat kid a snickers bar, leaving a thin layer of fold all over. 4.25
Smell is loaded with apricot, hard apple candy, stone fruit, honey dew, and some grapefruit. 3.75
Taste follows a very interesting flavor that you don’t get often anymore dank, apricot, stone fruit, mellow, and big shot of pink grapefruit. 4.5
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life and soft, not dry at all, and at 8% going down pretty darn quick. 4.5
Overall this is nice and I wish I could put a finger on that slightly different flavor, but can’t and I will say I did this nice and slightly different NEDIPA. 4.25
